Block Gmail Chat
If you are trying to block gmail chat in an individual xp machine then just ad this line in the hosts file found in “:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc” -
127.0.0.1 chatenabled.mail.google.com
this will stop the chat in gmail, whereas your mail will be running.
If you need to configure it in clients then just add a zone in your local dns server maping the above line.
this will do the work.
