On Testability

Acceptance testing is basically black-box testing done by the QA team to sign off. It’s very important to have clear pre-defined goals for acceptance testing as early as possible during the planning phase. In fact, the requirements specifications should define negative scenarios and expected failure behavior, not just positive scenarios and use cases.

Just released: EntLib Contrib – January 2010

Enterprise Library 5.0 preview video posted

Il team di Patterns & Practices ha appena pubblicato su Codeplex la “Beta 2” della guida Acceptance Test Engineering Guidance . Cos’è l’acceptance testing? “Acceptance Testing: Planned evaluation of a system by customers/customer proxies to assess to what degree it satisfies their expectations.” Il test di accettazione è una parte fondamentale perchè da esso spesso dipende il successo o meno di un progetto.

Acceptance Test Engineering Guide – BETA 2

  Questa nuova guida di P&P parla dell’ acceptance testing ovvero (in due parole) della disciplina che racchiude tutte le scelte che devono essere fatte per verificare se un particolare software è compliant ai requisiti richiesti e quindi può essere considerato valido per sè o per i propri clienti. E’ una disciplina non comunemente adottata nei progetti e quindi ne consiglio una lettura, in modo da capire come eventualmente adattarla al proprio ciclo di sviluppo del software.
