I’ve held off posting about Windows Phone 7 Series as there has been so much great information that sites like Engadget, Gizmodo, WMPoweruser have posted. In addition to this Microsoft’s own Charlie Kindel has started to post on what’s public about developing for Windows Phone 7 Series, even up to the announcements in the last few days at Games Developer Conference in San Francisco. What I want to do with this post is give our WMOz subscribers a summary of where to go for the best info/videos/interviews/demos on Windows Phone 7 Series that are in the public domain.

  Microsoft will discontinue future development of Essential Business Server, effective June 30 th , 2010.  A few points about this announcement:   Microsoft remains fully committed to small and medium-sized businesses and our Partners who serve them The technology capabilities many midsize businesses are turning to (such as virtualisation, management, and cloud computing) are already available through other offerings, including: Windows Server 2008 R2, Microsoft System Center and the Microsoft Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS) Customers with Software Assurance will be offered an open agreement to receive the license for many stand-alone products that would have been included in EBS 2010. Current EBS customers can look forward to a support cycle that holds true to the Microsoft five-year mainstream and five-year extended support lifecycle

While I was winging my way back from Japan two things were particularly on my mind.  First was the culmination of a very successful week of meetings with health industry executives and government leaders and advisors in Japan.  This included a delightful breakfast meeting with Professor Motoshige Ito at the Park Hyatt.  Professor Ito is an economics advisor to the Japanese Prime Minister and a frequent commentator on national Japanese television.  We really hit it off as we discussed…( read more )
