Minister Jodi McKay MP keynoted a recent Females in Telecommunications & Technology luncheon to celebrate International Women’s Day. During the event, she highlighted one of the biggest challenges facing Women in Technology: One in five Australians studying to work in ICT was female, and the number is currently in decline.

I was recently involved in a situation were the Reporting Library deployment from Dynamics AX 2009 to SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services was not working correctly. More concrete, after the Reporting Libraries were extracted, compiled and the deployment to the SSRS started, soon the following error was displayed: Unable to connect to http://server/ReportServer/ReportService2005.asmx as specified in the config file for the report server at C:…RSReportServer.config. If this url is not correct please update the config file, otherwise make sure the report server is configured correctly.

On January 1 st 2010 we are giving the 120 days’ notice required pursuant to the Solution Provider Agreement (SPA) for Apparel & Textile for Microsoft Dynamics AX Industry Solution s , which will be removed from the Microsoft Dynamics AX pricelist on May 1 st 2009. We are working with our partner Porini to transition this vertical solution to the Certified for Microsoft Dynamics (CfMD) ISV program.
