Unleash Your Covert Sales Force

From my experience I often think the people your customers trust the most are your engineers – your tech guys.  The “techies”, as we affectionately call them, are often seen to be straight shooters who tell it like it is, unlike sales guys who can be perceived to be giving advice that’s biased towards making a particular sale. Often it’s around your engineers that customers will let down their guard and tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.  Therefore it’s important to make sure engineers are alert and know how to respond when a customer is making a genuine plea to fix their pain.  It’s important your engineers know how to identify, explore and report back an opportunity.  They can become an extended sales force and really drive further revenue opportunities
