Minister Jodi McKay MP keynoted a recent Females in Telecommunications & Technology luncheon to celebrate International Women’s Day. During the event, she highlighted one of the biggest challenges facing Women in Technology: One in five Australians studying to work in ICT was female, and the number is currently in decline.
Earlier this month our Charlotte campus hosted another DigiGirlz camp! From Microsoft’s DigiGirlz website: ” Microsoft is proud to offer technology programs specifically for youth. One of our signature programs, DigiGirlz High Tech Camp for girls, works to dispel stereotypes of the high-tech industry. We continue to look for opportunities to give young people a chance to experience, firsthand, what it is like to develop cutting-edge technology.
If you are in the New Jersey area and interested in seeing more young women in computing majors this may be of interest to you. This seminar is designed for both educators and parents.
