Documentary Evidence

You’d think that, with only a couple of different letters, “documentary” and “documentation” were reasonably similar things.

The Latest Love of My (Programming) Life?

Is it really possible to love jQuery? It certainly seems like it is from the numerous blog and forum posts I’ve read while trying to figure out how to make it do some fairly simple things.

Get Your Hands On Our Labs

I suppose I could start with a bad pun by saying that you’ve had your hols, and now it’s time for some HOLs instead! Of course, this assumes you understand that “hols” is English shorthand for “holidays” and that “HOLs” is IT guidance shorthand for “Hands-On-Labs” (I wonder if people in the US have a shorthand word for “vacations”, or if – seeing they are typed rather than written by hand these days – that should be a shorttype word, or even just a shortword).

New Releases of the Outlook 2010 Auxiliary Reference and Outlook 2010 MAPI Reference

This week our group published the Outlook 2010 Auxiliary Reference , and updated the Outlook 2010 MAPI Reference ! The two references have been reorganized such that all content pertaining to MAPI for Outlook is now centralized in the Outlook 2010 MAPI Reference. The Outlook 2010 Auxiliary Reference contains documentation and samples for APIs that allow developers to extend Outlook outside of the Outlook object model without using MAPI.

Generically Modified

Despite being a writer by profession, and regularly castigating my colleagues for being recalcitrant in reviewing stuff I write, I actually dislike doing reviews myself. When I was an independent author (before I signed my life away to Microsoft), I was often approach by companies offering to pay me to write reviews of their products for their Web sites and literature

Outlook 2010 MAPI Reference Updated

The Outlook 2010 MAPI Reference has been updated. I don’t have a list of everything that changed, so I’ll highlight one addition that’s pretty cool: the property definition stream . Long time readers might remember I mentioned this property before – it’s one of the properties you want to delete to kill a one-off form
