Our next project – Claims based Identity and Access Control
Not surprisingly maybe, security in general, and authentication & authorization in particular, is a consistently highly rated concern for our customers.

Want to know why I spent one hour every day of my vacation practicing touch typing?
Call them chalk talks, call them interactive sessions, I love that kind of sessions. You can pull it off only if you have a small audience (or at least if the assertive elements are a manageable number), but they’re the most effective.
It’s been a good ride: in all these months I developed some emotional attachment to the code name “geneva”, and like with “indigo” it will take some time for me to get used to the official names. At the same time I am excited to see that the official names are the right ones! Let’s see what changed into what, as described in the forefront blog .
After having worked with ADFS v1 for a number of years now, and with all that has been forthcoming around the Geneva Server betas, Vittorio proposed that he interview me about the deltas between ADFS v1 and Geneva Server. So in this episode of The Id Element I find myself, somewhat reluctantly, in front of the camera.
After the packed schedule at EIC in Munich , and the frantic beta2 launch activities at teched this week , I have few relatively quiet hours in my office in Redmond before setting sails to the IIW this Sunday.
“ Geneva ” Step-by-Step Guides and Virtual Machines The Step-by-Step guides and virtual machines that were used at the Tech Ed “Geneva” hands on labs and sessions are now available for download. They are a great way to get your hands on and play with the Geneva technology. You can download these materals from here .
In preparation for the beta 2 release of Geneva Server, Geneva Framework and Windows CardSpace Geneva, Vittorio and I have been working feverishly to provide content to introduce you to this great step forward in these technologies.
If you were wondering what kept me up in the evenings of the last few months, wonder no more
The Identity Developer Training Kit is a set of hands-on labs and resources designed to help developers to take advantage of Microsoft’s identity products and services. Being designed for developers, the kit focuses on the Geneva Framework : however it also gives guidance on how to take advantage of Geneva Server , Windows Live ID , the Microsoft Federation Gateway and the .NET Access Control Service (which is featured in a renewed and expanded lab).
