Single charting engine across all of Office 2007

You may notice that copying and pasting from Excel 2007 into PowerPoint 2007 works better (especially with charts). The main reason for this is that we now have a single charting engine across the suite.  This enables a better user experience.  It also gives you more control/flexibility to make last minute edits in the application you pasted into before printing with great results

RunningJobContext.IsClientConnected

I’ve seen a few people get confused over what this error message in the Reporting Services log file indicates. This message is generated when the Reporting Services web server detects that an HTTP request has experienced a remote disconnect.  In practice, this means that we queried the property HttpResponse.IsClientConnected and it returned false. So how does this work exactly, and are all requests subject to this kind of check?

Why you should upgrade to Microsoft SQL Server 2008…

In the latest test results utilizing a very large sample Microsoft Dynamics GP database, the application showed an 18% increase in performance through upgrading from SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition to SQL Server 2008 Enterprise edition when using Row Compression.
